Staying Connected During Deployment
Source: Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP) Weekly eNewsletter
It's important for children to maintain communication with their service member parents during a deployment. One way to do so is by encouraging your children to take a part in sending mail and assembling care packages regularly for the parent, selecting special items to send. Family photos, treats, and hand-made items such as greeting cards and small crafts are a terrific morale booster to service members and are always appreciated.
